Who We Are

What do we offer?

At Jaybird Flight, we provide a streamlined, high-performance alternative to traditional aircraft rental. Our model is built specifically for the mission-driven pilot who values tech-forward equipment, transparent costs, and guaranteed availability.

We believe proficiency is a lifestyle, not a checkbox. That is why every flight membership includes a dedicated monthly allotment at the Jaybird Sim Center. Here members have access to FAA-certified flight simulators to practice emergency procedures, IFR approaches, and maneuvers in a risk-free environment before you ever prime the engine.

Jaybird Flight offers fixed monthly membership rates so you can say goodbye to the pay-by-the-hour cycle and hidden fuel surcharges. With 3.5 hours executive time blocks, our calendar is designed around the pilot, offering four daytime sessions with a 30 minute handover for a professional and unhurried experience.

Lastly, we provide all members with access to a pilot lounge right at Falcon Field giving a dedicated community space to study, debrief, and network with other like minded individuals.

If you have suggestions or ideas on how we can improve, please contact us through our website. Your feedback drives our innovation.

  • Both Basic Aviation Training Devices at Jaybird Sim Center are cutting-edge Gleim Flight Experience Simulators, fully FAA-approved as BATDs. Letters of Authorization for each device are securely maintained on file at the center, ensuring compliance and readiness for your training needs.

  • Our Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) features the cutting-edge Redbird FMX full motion simulator, delivering unparalleled training on one of the most in-demand aircraft. The current Letter of Authorization is prominently displayed within the center for your convenient logging and verification needs.

  • Jaybird Flight is proud to offer a Cessna 172 with a high-end modern glass suite. Our Jaybird 172 is equipped with a Dynon Skyview HDX as the primary flight display which features high resolution synthetic vision. It is paired with the Avidyne IFD series FMS/GPS, allowing for seamless IFR flight planning and wireless Ipad integration. Additionally, members enjoy autopilot and full ADS-B In/Out.

What Can Be Logged?

Table comparing training hours for basic and advanced aviation training devices, including private pilot license, instrument rating, commercial pilot license, CFI, CFI-I, ATP, with checkmarks for currency and proficiency.

Beyond the Logbook

While the FAA regulations define specific caps on hours that can be logged toward a certificate or rating, the value of simulation training extends far beyond the logbook. Jaybird Sim Center provides a ‘safe-to-fail’ environment where you can master complex maneuvers, emergency procedures, and cockpit flows without the pressure of a ticking Hobbs meter.

Use your solo hours to build deep muscle memory and situational awareness, then bring a CFI to officially log the hours required for your next checkride. Whether you are maximizing your Part61/141 allowances or simply refining your general airmanship, our simulators ensure that every hour you spend in the air is used for execution, not just explanation.
